=== Cleveland Indians Team Report - June 27 === (My Sportsbook) - Some excitement will return to Jacobs Field this weekend with in-state and interleague rival Cincinnati coming to town for a three-game set. The teams are meeting for the first time since 2001. It has been a closely contested series since the 2000 campaign, as the squads have split 12 meetings. Cincy took two of three from the Indians at Jacobs Field in 2001. The Indians have dropped three in a row after getting swept by the AL Central- leading Kansas City Royals. Cleveland has lost five of its last six contests overall. On Thursday, Cleveland fell 4-1 to the Royals. The Indians registered a total of three runs in three games against Kansas City. John McDonald posted the only RBI in the loss Thursday for the Indians. Milton Bradley reached base in the loss, giving him 29 straight games of achieving the feat. For the year, Bradley has got on base in 60 of the 61 games he's played. Ricardo Rodriguez (3-8) took the defeat after surrendering five hits and three runs over six innings, while fanning four and not permitting a free pass. The Indians are just 4-11 versus the National League in 2003. LeBron James, the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers, will throw out the first pitch Friday in the Battle of Ohio. The Tribe has lost seven in a row at The Jake.
