The Phillies, who have won four straight, will send struggling Kevin Millwood to the mound today. Millwood was defeated in his last outing on Tuesday, allowing five runs on seven hits in seven innings against his former team, the Atlanta Braves. The 28-year-old has lost his last three starts and five of his last six since May 23rd. His lone win since May 23rd came on June 8th against the Oakland Athletics at Veterans Stadium. Millwood is 1-1 against the Orioles in his career with an ERA of 6.39 in two career starts. Last night, Placido Polanco finished 4-for-6 with three runs batted in as the Philadelphia Phillies downed the Baltimore Orioles, 9-5. Jim Thome, Ricky Ledee and Tomas Perez homered for the Phillies, who have won seven of their last eight contests. Mike Lieberthal went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored as the Phillies kept their momentum going after Friday night's 17-inning win over Baltimore. Brett Myers (7-6) picked up the win despite allowing five runs on 10 hits in six innings of work. Myers struck out three and walked none to win his second straight start. Thome is on a seven-game hitting streak with four home runs, nine runs and six RBI. Philadelphia is now 20-18 on the road this year and are now 7-6 in Interleague play.
