=== Seattle Mariners Team Report - June 29 === (My Sportsbook) - The Seattle Mariners and the San Diego Padres will meet in the rubber match of their three-game set this afternoon at Safeco Field. The Mariners, who have lost three out of five to the Padres this season, will send Freddy Garcia to the mound today. Garcia was victorious in his last outing, allowing three runs on nine hits in 6 2/3 innings against the Anaheim Angels at Edison Field on Tuesday. Garcia has won six straight outings and has not lost since May 21st when he was defeated by the Kansas City Royals at Safeco Field. Garcia has struggled on his own turf this season, posting a record of 3-4 in Seattle with an ERA of 4.83. The 27-year-old righthander has pitched marvelous against the Padres, posting a 4-1 record with a 1.85 ERA in six games. Last night, Ryan Franklin (6-6) took the loss after he permitted six runs on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings. Franklin walked three and struck out two for the Mariners, who had their two-game winning streak halted. Bret Boone has a seven-game hitting streak with five runs, three home runs and seven RBI during that time. Randy Winn is 4-for-40 in his last 10 games with one run, five RBI and seven strikeouts. Seattle is 10-7 in interleague action this season.
