Munich, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Former Brazil international Ze Roberto signed a two-year contract to return to Bayern Munich on Friday. Ze Roberto, 32, played four seasons with in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich before leaving to play at Santos in Brazil last year. "We're delighted to welcome Ze Roberto back to Bayern. He's technically gifted, he's quick, and he works hard,' Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said. Ze Roberto was acquired on a free transfer. However, Bayern Munich requested he retire from international soccer and he agreed. "We don't think it's good when a player who's already a little older flies to and fro across the Atlantic five or six times a year," Bayern manager Uli Hoeness said. Ze Roberto's return is the seventh signing this offseason for Bayern. The club also signed Hamit Altintop, Marcell Jansen, Franck Ribery, Jan Schlaudraff, Jose Ernesto Sosa and Luca Toni for more than a combined $80 million. Bayern, which had won six of the previous eight Bundesliga titles, finished fourth last season.
