Miami, FL (My Sportsbook) - Montreal Expos starting outfielder Vladimir Guerrero was activated from the 15-day disabled list on Monday. The 27-year-old Guerrero, who missed 39 games with a herniated disc, is batting .301 with eight homers and 33 RBI in 50 contests this season. Montreal was 17-22 without Guerrero, who was placed on the DL June 6, retroactive to June 5. The club also activated relief pitcher Luis Ayala from the 15-day DL, and optioned outfielder Matt Cepicky and right-handed pitcher Britt Reames to Triple-A Edmonton. The 25-year-old Ayala was placed on the DL June 25, retro to June 22, with right-shoulder inflammation. In 34 appearances this season, Ayala is 6-2 with two saves and a 3.09 ERA. The Expos are 50-48 and tied with the Florida Marlins for third place in the National League East, 15 1/2 games behind first-place Atlanta. Montreal is in Florida for a two-game set.
