Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - Colorado Rockies lefthander Denny Neagle was put on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with inflammation in his pitching elbow. It's an injury that forced Neagle to miss the first 71 games this season. The problem worsened during his most recent outing, Sunday in San Francisco. The 34-year-old Neagle, who was projected as Colorado's Opening Day starter this year, has started seven games for the Rockies, compiling a 2-4 record with a 7.90 ERA. To take Neagle's roster spot, the Rockies recalled outfielder Rene Reyes from Triple-A Colorado Springs. Reyes, a switch-hitter, leads the Pacific Coast League with 127 hits, while ranking third with a .343 batting average.
