=== Milwaukee Brewers Team Report - July 23 === (My Sportsbook) - Glendon Rusch tries to avoid losing his 13th game of the season, setting a Brewers franchise record in the process, as Milwaukee hosts the NL Central-leading Houston Astros tonight. It will mark the opener of a two-game series. Rusch is 0-11 over his last 15 starts with his only victory this season coming April 8 against the Pirates at PNC Park. The 28-year-old lefthander can set a franchise record for most consecutive losses. He currently is tied with Chris Bosio, who set the current mark by losing 11 straight decisions in 1988. During his 11-game losing streak, Rusch has posted an 8.64 ERA (72 earned runs, 75 innings). The Brewers are 3-14 in Rusch's 17 starts this season. The southpaw has been victimized by the big inning several times this season, surrendering three-or-more runs in a frame 14 times. Rusch will be facing Houston and Roy Oswalt for the second time this season. On April 18 at Miller Park, Rusch took an 11-5 loss, allowing six runs in four innings. Rusch is 2-5 lifetime versus Houston. The Brewers enter tonight's game coming off a 6-4 victory last night in Cincinnati. Bill Hall doubled, tripled, knocked in a pair of runs and scored twice in the win. Keith Ginter finished with two hits and scored twice for the Brewers, who rebounded from a loss on Monday to win for just the third time in their last 10 games. The Brewers have won four of the teams' seven meetings this season. Milwaukee hasn't won a season series against Houston since 1997, the last year the Brewers were in the American League. Milwaukee is 18-34 at home.
