=== Minnesota Twins Team Report - July 26 === (My Sportsbook) - The Minnesota Twins will try for their third straight victory tonight when they face Cleveland in the second contest of their three- game set at Jacobs Field. Minnesota enters play today in third place in the AL Central, 5 1/2 games behind the front-running Kansas City Royals. Minnesota is 7-2 since the All- Star break. Kyle Lohse, who is 0-4 over his last seven outings, will pitch tonight for the Twins. Lohse faced Seattle in his last outing and allowed three runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings, but did not record the decision on Monday. The 24-year- old has not won since June 11th when he defeated the Rockies at the Metrodome. In five career starts against the Indians, Lohse is 3-1 with a 4.97 ERA. Last night, Doug Mientkiewicz provided the game-winning RBI double in the ninth inning, as the Twins edged the Tribe, 6-5. Mientkiewicz finished 3-for-5 with two RBI for Minnesota, which halted its nine-game road losing streak. Shannon Stewart ended with three hits and Torii Hunter drove in a pair of runs for the Twins. LaTroy Hawkins (8-2) earned the win. He struck out a batter in two-thirds of an inning. Kenny Rogers pitched the opening six frames and yielded five runs -- four earned -- and eight hits. Stewart is batting .469 since being traded from Toronto on July 16th. The Minnesota Twins are 23-26 on the road this season.
