As per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not released The 21-year-old Williams, who inked a one-year contract, has spent all three of his NHL seasons with the Flyers. Last year he missed 36 contests while recovering from surgery to repair a partial ACL tear in his left knee. Despite the ailing knee, the 6-foot-1 right wing posted eight goals and 16 assists in 41 regular season games, adding six points in the playoffs. In 179 career NHL games, Williams has recorded 37 goals and 52 assists. Somik, whose new contract is for two years, scored eight goals and added 10 assists in 60 games for the Flyers last season, his first in the NHL. |
