=== Florida Marlins Team Report - August 4 === (My Sportsbook) - A pair of teams vying for spots in the postseason open a three-game series Tuesday night as the Florida Marlins take on the St. Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium. The Marlins enter the night two games behind the Philadelphia Phillies for the NL wild card spot. On Sunday, the Marlins lost 3-1 at home to the Houston Astros. Florida starter Mark Redman (9-5) took the loss, surrendering three runs on eight hits over eight innings. He fanned seven and walked one for the Marlins, who have lost just three of their last 13 games. Brad Penny is slated to start Tuesday's game for the Marlins. The righthander enters this game off his ninth win of the season, last Tuesday versus Arizona, as he pitched seven innings, allowing one run on four hits with one walk and four strikeouts. The victory ended a two-game losing streak for Penny, as he dropped starts on July 19 against Chicago and July 24 at Atlanta. This will mark Penny's fifth career start versus St. Louis. He is 0-1 with a 4.81 ERA in his four previous starts. Florida is 25-28 on the road. The Marlins have won three of their last four and six of nine at Busch Stadium, dating back to August 8, 2000. However, the Marlins lost two of three games to the Cardinals April 25-27 earlier this season in Miami.
