=== Cincinnati Reds Team Report - August 7 === (My Sportsbook) - The Reds will attempt to sidestep a three-game sweep at the hands of the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight at Dodger Stadium. Cincy dropped a 2-1 decision to the Dodgers on Wednesday. Felix Heredia (5-1) took the loss in Wednesday's game after surrendering an RBI double to Robin Ventura. Cincinnati starter Jose Acevedo left the contest after three innings when he suffered a sprained left ankle falling down the dugout steps. He was replaced in the fourth by John Riedling. Barry Larkin also left the game when he aggravated scar tissue from hernia surgery two years ago. The Reds recalled infielder Brandon Larson from Triple-A Louisville before the game and sent infielder Ryan Freel back to Louisville. Larson was 0-for-4 with four strikeouts. Cincinnati will send righthander Paul Wilson to the hill tonight. Wilson pitched well in his last start, but didn't record a decision against San Francisco. The 30-year-old limited the Giants to seven hits and two runs over seven innings. Wilson is unbeaten (1-0) in his last two starts on the heels of a four-decision skid. Wilson suffered a tough-luck loss in his only other start in 2003 against the Dodgers, giving up seven hits and two runs over 7 2/3 innings. For his career, Wilson is 0-2 with a 4.34 ERA versus Los Angeles. The Reds took two of three from the Dodgers in April. Despite back-to-back losses, Cincy owns a 10-7 advantage in this series since 2001. Cincy has still won five of its last eight games at Dodger Stadium.
