=== Cleveland Indians Team Report - August 8 === (My Sportsbook) - The Cleveland Indians target their third straight win tonight when they start a four-game series with the Anaheim Angels tonight at Jacobs Field. The Indians come into Friday's contest riding a modest two-game winning streak after taking the final two games of their three-game set with the Seattle Mariners. On Thursday, Travis Hafner finished 2-for-3 with a home run and Billy Traber pitched seven shutout innings, leading Cleveland to a 3-0 win.. Traber (6-6) scattered five hits, struck out five batters and issued a pair of walks for the Tribe, whose current streak comes after a five-game slide. Cleveland, however, is just 3-6 in its last nine games. Taking the ball tonight for the Indians will be 23-year-old lefthander Jason Davis, who is 7-8 on the year with a 4.79 ERA, but has not won since beating the Cincinnati Reds on June 29. In his most recent outing on Saturday, Davis allowed seven runs and eight hits in six innings to the Texas Rangers, but did not factor in the decision of his team's 9-7 loss. Davis lost to Anaheim earlier in the year in his only-ever appearance against the team, Hafner is 4-for-7 in his last two games with a pair of homers and five RBI. Since July 12 he is hitting .304 with seven doubles, three homers and 11 RBI. Cleveland is 27-28 at home on the season.
