Mankato, MN (My Sportsbook) - The Minnesota Vikings will begin training camp with three veteran players on the physically unable to perform list. Left tackle Bryant McKinnie, defensive end Erasmus James and wide receiver Billy McMullen were held out of the team's mandatory conditioning test and will work out on the side during the team's first practice Friday. Vikings coach Brad Childress said McKinnie and McMullen both reported with lower-body muscle strains and could rejoin the active roster at any time. James is recovering from ACL surgery on his left knee last September and will need more time. "There is no timetable there," Childress said of James. "We just want to see how he proceeds. I really don't feel like he's ready and I don't think he does either."
