=== Tracy sweeps both qualifying sessions at Mid-Ohio === Lexington, OH (My Sportsbook) - Paul Tracy won his second straight qualifying session on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to pull within one point of series leader Bruno Junqueira (164-163). The No.3 Players/Forsythe Racing driver captured the pole for Sunday's Champ Car Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio with a best lap of 1 minute 07.058 seconds (121.220 m.p.h.). It was a career-high fifth pole of the season for the Scarborough, ON native, but was almost two seconds off the track record of 1:05.347, jointly held by Dario Franchitti (1999) and Gil de Ferran (2000). Tracy now owns 18 poles for his Champ Car career to tie legend Bobby Rahal for 11th place all-time. The surprise of the session came from American Spirit driver Ryan Hunter-Reay. The Dallas, TX native posted the second-best lap around the 2.258-mile Mid-Ohio circuit in 1:07.074 seconds. Row two will consist of Sebastien Bourdais (1:07.130) and Team Rahal driver Michel Jourdain Jr. (1:07.236). Points leader Junqueira will start sixth in the 19-car field. Jimmy Vasser did not run in the session due to a broken gearbox. The race set to begin on Sunday at 2 p.m. (et).
