Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with free agent forward Cory Stillman. Financial terms of the deal were not released.

The team avoided an arbitration hearing with the addition of Stillman, who was acquired from St. Louis for the Lightning's second-round choice at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft on June 21.

"We are extremely pleased to have Cory under contract and we look forward to having him join our hockey club this season," said team executive vice president and general manager Jay Feaster. "Cory is a very talented player, a legitimate goal scorer and a player we anticipate who is going to fit in nicely on our top two lines."

Stillman registered 24 goals and 67 points in 79 games last season with the Blues. In 564 NHL games, Stillman has posted 159 goals, 195 assists and 354 points. He also spent time with Calgary.

He has scored 20-plus goals in each of his last five full seasons and was chosen sixth overall by the Flames at the 1992 NHL Draft.

Forward Brad Richards and defenseman Dan Boyle are the only two restricted free agents remaining to be signed by the team.
