West Lafayette, IN (My Sportsbook) - Purdue running back Joey Harris was ruled academically ineligible on Thursday. Harris led the Boilermakers in rushing last year in his junior season with 1,115 yards. He needed to average a "B" in his three summer classes to remain eligible to play in his senior campaign. Purdue will most likely use sophomore back Brandon Jones to replace Harris. Jones ran for almost 700 yards last year. The Boilermakers open the 2003 football season September 6 at home versus Bowling Green. |
