Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Lightning re-signed defenseman Nolan Pratt to a one-year contract Saturday. As per club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "We're very pleased to have Nolan Pratt back for another season," general manager Jay Feaster said. "Nolan has been a valuable member of the team and contributed significantly to our outstanding season last year. We know he will come into our camp ready to battle for a spot in our top six on defense." Pratt played in 67 games for the Southeast Division champions last season, posting one goal and seven assists. Pratt also played in seven postseason contests, garnering his first career playoff point with an assist in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals versus the Devils. Pratt, 28, was acquired on June 24, 2001 by the Lightning from the Colorado Avalanche for a sixth-round choice in the 2001 Draft. The bruising stay-at-home defenseman was originally drafted by the Hartford Whalers in 1993. Pratt has appeared in 316 NHL games during the past seven seasons with Hartford/Carolina, Colorado, and Tampa Bay, scoring six goals and adding 31 assists for 37 points.
