=== San Diego Padres Team Report - August 18 === (My Sportsbook) - The Padres proved to be an easy target this weekend for the wild card chasing Florida Marlins at Pro Player Stadium. San Diego was dominated in the three-game set, 27-10, including Sunday's ugly 11-7 loss. The Padres have dropped five in a row overall on the heels off winning three of four. San Diego starter Adam Eaton (7-9) took the loss on Sunday, surrendering four runs on seven hits over 3 1/3 frames. He fanned one and walked three. Phil Nevin and Gary Bennett each had two hits and two RBI for the Padres. Mark Kotsay scored two runs in the defeat. The Padres bullpen was rocked by the Marlins for 15 runs in the three-game set. San Diego held the lead for only three innings of the entire series The Padres must retain their focus for a three-game set starting Tuesday against the New York Mets at Qualcomm Stadium. San Diego has just 21 games left in its 35-year stint at the Q, as it will be moving to brand new PETCO park next season.
