Iowa City, IA (My Sportsbook) - Two Iowa Hawkeye football players were suspended on Wednesday for "conduct detrimental to the team." Iowa offensive lineman Sam Aiello was suspended one game, while defensive lineman Derreck Robinson was penalized for two games. According to head coach Kirk Ferentz, both players violated team policy during the spring semester. Aiello will miss the game against Miami-Ohio on August 30, while Robinson will miss that game and a September 6 contest against Buffalo. Aiello, a senior whose career has been plagued by injuries, entered fall practice listed second on the depth chart at right tackle. Robinson, a junior, played in 11 games as a defensive end last year. He is listed as a backup at end on this year's depth chart.
