El Segundo, CA (My Sportsbook) - Los Angeles Kings center Jason Allison will miss two-to-three months after tearing the medial collateral ligament of his right knee in Tuesday's 4-0 win against the Atlanta Thrashers. The injury will not require surgery, but Allison is not expected to be healthy until January. Allison was injured in the first period as he skated through the neutral zone in front of the team benches. After crossing the red line in full flight, he was met with a knee-to-knee hit by Atlanta defenseman Andy Sutton. Allison collapsed to the ice in obvious pain and was helped to the locker room. Los Angeles is also without top-line winger Ziggy Palffy, who missed his third straight -- and sixth of his last seven -- with a strained groin. Allison led the Kings in scoring last season with 19 goals and 55 assists after he was acquired from Boston. Allison was off to a quick start this season, as well, with four goals and seven assists in eight games.
