Charlotte, NC (My Sportsbook) - Charlotte owner Bob Johnson's pursuit to have Michael Jordan be part of the Bobcats has ended in failure. Jordan, a close friend of Johnson, who is the billionaire founder of BET, is expected to pursue his own franchise. The 40-year-old Jordan, who gave up his position as president of basketball operations for Washington when he returned as a player two years ago, left the Wizards in May. Washington missed the playoffs both seasons with Jordan on the roster, finishing each campaign with a 37-45 record. This past season, Jordan played in all 82 regular-season contests and finished with averages of 20.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. Jordan was rumored to be interested in taking over majority ownership of the Milwaukee Bucks until Sen. Herb Kohl changed his mind and decided not to sell his team.
