=== Los Angeles adds former-King Nelson Emerson to staff === El Segundo, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Los Angeles Kings added former winger Nelson Emerson to their coaching staff on Tuesday. Emerson has joined the Kings as a coaches aide, and will assist head coach Andy Murray in teaching skating, shooting and faceoffs. Emerson joins assistant coaches Mark Hardy, John Van Boxmeer and Ray Bennett, goaltending consultant Andy Nowicki and video coordinator Bill Gurney on the staff. "We are happy to have him," Murray said. "He is enthusiastic and identifies with our style of play and what it takes to a be an LA King." Emerson played with LA from 2000-02. In addition to the Kings, Emerson played with the Atlanta Thrashers, Ottawa Senators, Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes/Hartford Whalers, Winnipeg Jets and St. Louis Blues during his NHL career. He posted 195 goals and 293 assists in 771 career regular season games.
