Saint Paul, MN (My Sportsbook) - The Minnesota Wild have signed defenseman Chris McAlpine to a contract for the 2003-04 season. The 31-year-old McAlpine had two assists in 21 games for the Los Angeles Kings last season. He was sidelined for most of the season due to hernia surgery. An eight-year veteran, McAlpine has also spent time with the New Jersey Devils, St. Louis Blues, Atlanta Thrashers, Tampa Bay Lightning and Chicago Blackhawks. He has played in 289 games over his career and has registered six goals, 24 assists and 245 penalty minutes. |
