Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - Atlanta Thrashers forwards Dany Heatley and Dan Snyder were injured in a one-car accident Monday night in Atlanta. Heatley was charged Tuesday with reckless driving for veering off a road and slamming his black Ferrari into a wall at about 80 m.p.h. The 22-year-old Heatley and Snyder were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital after the accident. Snyder was in critical condition and had to have surgery Tuesday morning for a depressed skull fracture. Heatley is in stable condition, and the most serious of his injuries was a broken left jaw. The NHL's Calder Trophy winner as the League's best rookie in 2001-02, Heatley led the Thrashers with 41 goals and 89 points in 77 games in 2002-03. He also scored four goals on his way to being picked as MVP of the 2003 All- Star Game. The 25-year-old Snyder, who signed with the Thrashers in July 1999, finished with 10 goals and four assists in 36 contests last season for Atlanta.
