Sunrise, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Florida Panthers released left wing Jonas Hoglund on Saturday, exactly one month after the team signed him to a one-year contract. Hoglund played in 79 games for Toronto last season, scoring 13 goals and assisting on 19 others. He tallied one playoff assist in seven games for the Maple Leafs, who were eliminated by Philadelphia in the first round. In 545 career games, the 31-year-old Hoglund has posted 117 goals and 145 assists over eight seasons with Calgary, Montreal and Toronto. The Panthers also assigned wingers Gregory Campbell, Juraj Kolnik, center Vaclav Nedorost, and defensemen Lukas Krajicek and Jeff Paul to their AHL affiliate in San Antonio.
