St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays announced on Friday that pitcher Shawn Camp and infielder Jorge Velandia have become free agents after both players rejected outright assignments to Triple-A Durham. Camp, 30, split last season between the Rays and Durham. He went 0-3 with a 7.20 earned run average in 50 appearances for the Devil Rays and 0-1 with four saves and a 1.17 ERA over 12 outings for the Bulls. Velandia, 32, batted .320 with two home runs and 11 RBI in 14 games for the Rays after being called up from Durham on September 10. In 120 games with the Bulls, he hit .249 with five home runs and 39 RBI.
