Milwaukee, WI (My Sportsbook) - The Milwaukee Bucks reached a contract settlement agreement with power forward Anthony Mason on Friday, and have requested waivers on the 13-year veteran. On September 29, Milwaukee general manager Larry Harris announced that the Bucks were seeking to terminate Mason's contract, and that the team was in negotiations with Mason's agent. The 36-year-old signed with the Bucks as a free agent in October of 2001, the season after making his lone career All-Star appearance with the Miami Heat. Since inking his four-year deal, Mason's numbers have been significantly lower than his career averages. He made 58 starts for the Bucks in 2002-03, posting averages of 7.2 points and 6.4 rebounds in 65 total games. The 6-foot-8, 265-pounder also has played for New Jersey, Denver, New York and Charlotte during his career, averaging 10.9 points and 8.3 rebounds in 882 games.
