Sunrise, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Florida Panthers Tuesday placed forward Valeri Bure on injured reserve with a pulled groin. The move is retroactive to last Thursday. Bure aggravated a previous injury during the first period of Florida's 3-1 season-opening victory against the Hurricanes. He then missed games versus Boston and Carolina, both of which ended in ties. Bure is in his second stint with the Panthers after being claimed off waivers from the St. Louis Blues at the end of June. He had 13 goals and 31 assists in 77 games over parts of two seasons with Florida from 2001-2003. The 29-year-old Bure had his best campaign in 1999-2000 while playing with Calgary. He scored a career-high 35 goals and added 40 assists in 82 games. Meanwhile, the club signed former first-round pick Petr Taticek to a three- year contract and recalled forward Gregory Campbell from San Antonio of the American Hockey League.
