New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - The National Hockey League suspended Vancouver Canucks forward Brad May for one game on Tuesday. The 31-year-old May was disciplined for an incident during the Canucks' 6-1 victory over the Buffalo Sabres on October 20. With his team ahead by five goals and just minutes to go in the game, May crosschecked Sabres defenseman Jay McKee in the face. May, who received a match penalty for the hit, has been one of the league's top enforcers during the past decade. Over parts of 13 NHL seasons, May has totaled 115 goals and 1,807 penalty minutes in 739 games. The Canucks are back in action on Wednesday, when they host the St. Louis Blues in the second installment of a four-game homestand.
