Patrick Lalime stopped 23 shots in net for the Senators, who have won three straight on the heels of a two-game slide. Ottawa defeated Montreal 5-2 in the season opener on October 9 and has won four straight meetings between the teams. The Senators improved to 3-3-1 in their last seven games at Bell Centre. Ottawa went 2-for-7 on the power play in the contest. Defenseman Julien Vauclair made his NHL debut against the Canadiens on Saturday. Vauclair was recalled on an emergency basis from the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL) Saturday.
