"Today was the best I've played in a long, long time," said the 54-year-old Rhoden. "I hit only one bad shot today and gave myself a lot of birdie opportunities."
Jones, who turned 50 in September, made his first trip to Champions Tour Q- school. He posted five birdies and just one bogey in the final round, moving up from a tie for fourth place overnight.
"Today was a good day for us and I'm glad this is over," Jones said. "It's a tough grind out there, but I put a lot of pressure on myself."
The co-medalists both earned $24,425.
Mitch Adcock (70) and Rick Karbowski (71) shared third place at five-under 283 and earned $15,000 checks. Jim Chancey (71) and Mike Goodes (73) finished another shot further back at 284.
The 72-hole tournament followed four days of regional qualifying at four sites around the country. Overall, 31 players earned a chance to qualify Monday for nine spots in full-field Champions Tour events next season.
