Moscow, Russia (My Sportsbook) - Jefferson Farfan scored in the 39th minute as PSV escaped Dinamo Stadion with a 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow on Tuesday in the Champions League. PSV (2-2-1) still sits third in Group G but needed the win to put pressure on leaders Inter Milan and Fenerbahce entering their match later Tuesday. PSV pulled to within two points of first-place Inter and one point of second- place Fenerbahce. CSKA Moscow (0-4-1) lost for the fourth time in the Champions League despite taking 14 shots and having a majority of the possession. Farfan scored off a header from just a few yards out after a cross deflected off a CSKA Moscow defender and over goalie Igor Akinfeev. PSV managed just four shots and only two of those were on goal. |
