St. Petersburg, FL (My Sportsbook) - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays officially signed relief pitcher Troy Percival to a two-year contract on Friday. Two days after acquiring right-handed starting pitcher Matt Garza in a six- player trade with Minnesota, the Rays added to the back end of their bullpen by coming to terms with the 38-year-old Percival. The veteran right-hander made a triumphant comeback with St. Louis last summer, posting a 3-0 record and a 1.80 earned run average in 40 innings spanning 34 games. Percival suffered an elbow injury at Tropicana Field -- his new home field -- on July 9, 2005 that forced him into retirement for two years. During his 12-year career, Percival has saved 324 games with all but eight coming with the Angels.
