Doetinchem, Netherlands (My Sportsbook) - Defending Dutch Eredivisie champions PSV are one point back of leaders Ajax heading into this weekend's league fixtures. With a matchup at 10-placed and newly promoted Graafschap, it looks like a chance for PSV to take over the lead, but coach Jan Wouters is making sure his team takes Saturday's game seriously.
"De Graafschap are always a tough team to play against in Doetinchem," Wouters said.
"They always put a lot of pressure on up front and after a difficult start they are now in good shape."
PSV should get a boost with the return of captain Timmy Simmons, who missed the midweek Champions league win with a back problem.
"I have come through the training session on Thursday unscathed. I have some muscle pain, but it is nothing serious," he said.
Graafschap has done better than expected in the first part of the season, with the team aiming to stay in the top division.
"The way we are playing and the amount of points we are collecting is great. However, we still have just one goal and that is staying up," midfielder Lasse Schone said.
In the other Eredivisie fixtures on Saturday, sixth-placed Roda hosts Vitesse, 11th-placed Groningen hosts Venlo and last-placed Willem II hosts Excelsior.
In Sunday action, leaders Ajax hosts NAC, third-placed Feyenoord hosts Heracles and fourth-placed Heerenveen travels to NEC, fifth-placed Twente hosts AZ.
