Nashville Predators will hope to end a two- game losing streak on Sunday when they travel to America West Arena to face off with the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Predators dropped their second straight game on Saturday, 6-5, in overtime to the Los Angeles Kings.
David Legwand registered two goals and an assist for the Predators, who lost their third overtime game of the season after not losing one all of last year. Andreas Johansson finished with a goal and three assists. Kimmo Timonen contributed two assists for Nashville, which has posted a 1-5-1-3 mark through the first 10 games of the season.
Legwand, however, committed a crucial penalty late in regulation that led to the overtime winner.
Seven of the Predators' eight losses have been by one goal. Last season, they lost 17 games by that margin.
Mike Dunham stopped 26-of-32 shots and has allowed 13 goals in his last two games.
Nashville will playing the third installment of a seven-game road trip, and has been outscored 13-5 in that span.
The Coyotes also enter Sunday's tilt on a losing note after being stomped 6-2 by the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday.
Brian Boucher, starting his fifth straight game in place of the injured Sean Burke, stopped 29-of-35 shots in the setback, as Phoenix fell for the fourth time in its last five tries (1-3-0-1).
Branko Radivojevic and Shane Doan both scored for the Coyotes, who allowed at least five goals in a game for the fourth time in 12 games this season.
Phoenix begins a three-game homestand tonight that will also include visits from the Minnesota Wild and Vancouver Canucks.
The Coyotes, like the rest of the NHL, have dominated the Predators in recent history, winning five straight, and are 7-4-1 in the last 12 meetings.
Nashville has lost three straight and four of its last five in Phoenix.
