Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - Most of Cinergy Field will be blown up on December 29. The multipurpose stadium was completed in 1970, and hosted the Cincinnati Bengals until two years ago, and the Cincinnati Reds as recent as this past September. In preparation for the blast, a wrecking ball will be used to bring down parts of the stadium, which had its stands in left field and center field taken down two years ago to make room for the Great American Ball Park, being built within inches of Cinergy Field. The demolition, which will cost almost $5.8 million, will include a series of about 1,000 blasts and is expected to take down Cinergy Field in 37 seconds.
