Los Angeles, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Los Angeles Dodgers signed pitcher Luke Prokopec to a two-year minor league contract on Monday. The 24-year-old Prokopec was 2-9 with a 6.78 ERA in 22 appearances for Toronto in 2002. He finished the season on the disabled list and underwent surgery on September 14, 2002 to repair a slap lesion in his right shoulder. Prokopec returns to the Dodgers after pitching for the organization from 2000-2001. The Australia native posted a 9-8 record with a 4.63 ERA in 34 games during his first stint with the team. After the 2001 season, Prokopec was shipped along with pitcher Chad Ricketts to the Blue Jays for pitcher Paul Quantrill and shortstop Cesar Izturis.
