Ottawa, ON (My Sportsbook) - The Ottawa Senators learned on Sunday that high-scoring forward Dany Heatley will miss up to six weeks of action with a separated right shoulder. Heatley suffered the injury during the Senators' 3-2 win over Detroit on Saturday. He missed most of the third period in the game after crashing hard into the boards while attempting to finish a check against Red Wings forward Dallas Drake. The 26-year-old, who was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team, posted 25 goals and 31 assists in 43 games this season. Prior to the setback, Heatley had played in all 207 games for the Senators after coming over in a trade from the Atlanta Thrashers before the 2005-2006 season. The injury also will cost him a chance at becoming the first player in the NHL to post three consecutive 50-goal seasons since John LeClair did it from 1995-98 for the Flyers.
