Sacramento Kings attempt to collect their ninth consecutive win tonight when they continue their season-high eight-game homestand against the
Minnesota Timberwolves at ARCO Arena.
Sacramento has not played since beating the New Jersey Nets, 105-92 on Sunday. In that contest Peja Stojakovic scored 25 points and Brad Miller contributed 20 points, 11 rebounds and five assists to lead the Kings' attack.
Vlade Divac collected 15 points, eight assists and seven boards for Sacramento, which improved to 10-0 at home this season and has won 17 straight on their home court dating back to last season.
The Kings' last loss at home came back on March 16 with an overtime setback to the Dallas Mavericks.
Stojakovic, who connected on all three of his three-point attempts in Sunday's win, was named the Western Conference's Player of the Month for October. He averaged 23.3 points on 53 percent shooting from the field and has been the catalyst for the Kings' 12-4 mark.
Minnesota, meanwhile, comes into tonight's tilt on a winning note after Sam Cassell tied a season high with 27 points and handed out eight assists Timberwolves' 92-79 win over the Phoenix Suns.
Cassell scored 16 in the decisive fourth quarter for Minnesota, which won for the second time in three tries.
Latrell Sprewell added 21 points and Kevin Garnett chipped in 16 points for Minnesota in the winning effort. Garnett also grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.
The Timberwolves, who will wrap up a five-game road trip on Sunday against the Clippers, is 6-4 away from home this season.
Sacramento defeated Minnesota earlier in the season and has won three of four and six of the last eight meetings. The T-Wolves have also dropped six straight at ARCO Arena and is winless in 10 of their last 13 trips to Sacramento.
