=== Hawks try to halt five-game losing streak ===

Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - The Sacramento Kings finish their short three- game road trip tonight when they travel to Atlanta to meet the struggling Hawks at Philips Arena.

The Kings, who are 1-1 on the swing, defeated the New Orleans Hornets, 101-90, on Thursday at the New Orleans Arena. Brad Miller finished with 21 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists to lead Sacramento to the victory.

Mike Bibby added 19 points and Bobby Jackson delivered 18 off the bench for the Kings, who won for the fifth time in their last six games. Peja Stojakovic contributed 17 points in the win.

Doug Christie collected 10 points, six rebounds and six assists for the Kings, who broke open a tightly contested first quarter midway through. Trailing 12-11, they mounted an 18-5 burst. Bibby delivered six of the points, including a basket in the final minute, to put them ahead 29-17.

In the second quarter, Sacramento started with a 14-9 run. Bibby's basket midway through the second made it 43-26.

A foul shot by Davis with 1:36 remaining in the period pulled New Orleans within 47-35. However, the Kings notched the final three points of the second to lead 50-35 at halftime.

Stojakovic sparked a 12-2 run early in the third quarter. His consecutive three-pointers put the Kings ahead 62-37 with 8:22 remaining in the quarter. Sacramento led 75-61 heading into the final 12 minutes of play.

Sacramento scored the first six points of the fourth quarter to move ahead by 20. A Jackson jumper staked his team to an 81-61 edge. New Orleans got no closer than the final score.

The Kings are 4-5 on the road this season.

Atlanta comes into tonight's game having lost five in a row.The Hawks dropped a 98-85 decision to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday in front of their home crowd.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim recorded 16 points and 10 rebounds for his 14th double- double of the year for the Hawks, who have lost nine of their last 10.

Theo Ratliff, taken out of the starting lineup along with Jason Terry for showing up late to Wednesday's pre-game warmup, scored a season-high 15 points and grabbed 11 boards for his first double-double of the year.

Nazr Mohammed started for Ratliff, while Jacque Vaughn filled in for Terry, who seemed to draw the ire of coach Terry Stotts in particular, playing just 16 minutes to Ratliff's 29. Terry, who played just two minutes in the second half, was held scoreless.

Atlanta is 4-8 as the host this season.

In 2002-03, the teams split two games as each club won on its homecourt.

Overall, the Hawks have won 11 of the last 15 contests over the Kings, who have lost 13 of their last 14 at Atlanta.
