St. Paul, MN (My Sportsbook) - Daniel Sedin scored 3:18 into overtime, lifting the Vancouver Canucks over the Minnesota Wild, 3-2, at Xcel Energy Center.

Markus Naslund forced the extra session with a marker in the latter stages of the third stanza and Matt Cooke also lit the lamp in regulation for Vancouver, which has won three of four and four of its last six games overall. Roberto Luongo came up with 20 saves in the win.

Marian Gaborik and Eric Belanger both netted goals for the Wild, who had won three of four coming in. Niklas Backstrom stopped 34 in net.

Down 2-1, Vancouver gained the man-advantage after Branko Radivojevic was whistled for tripping with 5:53 left in the contest. Moments later, Henrik Sedin dished a pass from the right wall into the slot, where Naslund polished the play off with a backhander to induce overtime.

The Sedin brothers hooked up in the extra session to pull the win out for the Canucks. Henrik backhanded a pass to Daniel, who snapped a shot past Luongo 3:18 into OT.

Minnesota tallied on the power play with a minute left in the first period to assume a 1-0 edge. Gaborik controlled the puck above the right circle before releasing a centering pass that kicked off a Vancouver defender and past Luongo.

Vancouver actually outshot the Wild 13-3 in the opening stanza, but went into the locker room down by one.

The Canucks evened the contest at the 15:48 mark of the second on a power-play marker by Cooke.

The Wild, though, regained the edge 4:41 into third. Brian Rolston's initial try from the right circle didn't find the twine, but Belanger picked up the loose disc at the doorstep and punched it home for a 2-1 advantage.

Game Notes

This was the sixth of eight meetings between Vancouver and Minnesota this season. The series is now tied 3-3...Vancouver was without Taylor Pyatt, who left Saturday's game with a shoulder injury.
