The Avalanche were dealt a 1-0 loss in Anaheim on Friday night, as Jean- Sebastien Giguere stopped 38 shots to post his first shutout of the season. It was Colorado's second-straight setback and pushed the team's winless streak to four games (0-2-2). The Avs halted the Avalanche's road unbeaten streak at five games (2-0-3). The loss also allowed Calgary to move ahead of the Avs in the Northwest Division standings. The Flames beat Columbus, 2-1, to jump into second place with 39 points -- one ahead of Colorado. Tonight's game in LA is the middle test of a three-game road trip. |
