=== New Orleans Hornets Team Report - December 21 === (My Sportsbook) - Baron Davis had 25 points and 12 assists to lead the Hornets to a 94-89 win over the Memphis Grizzlies at the New Orleans Sports Arena Saturday. Jamaal Magloire posted 18 points and 13 boards for the Hornets, who snapped their three-game skid. David Wesley added 16 points in the win. P.J. Brown and George Lynch each had 10 rebounds in the win. Brown also scored 12 points. New Orleans increased its lead to 74-66 on Davis' jumper early in the fourth quarter and the margin grew to 10 points on Brown's jumper with 6:13 remaining in the game. The Hornets widened the gap to 14 points later in the quarter, but Memphis closed within 90-86 in the game's final minute. However, the Grizzlies could get no closer as New Orleans made all of its foul shots down the stretch. Hornets reserve forward David West was out with an upper respiratory infection. New Orleans returns to the court on Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. |
