It was the second-straight tie for the Kings, as they played to a 4-4 tie with the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday. Eric Belanger, Joe Corvo and Martin Straka each scored for the Kings, who remained unbeaten in their last six home games (4-0-2). Roman Cechmanek stopped just two of six shots in the first period before leaving the contest after aggravating a hip injury. Cristobal Huet came in to replace Cechmanek to start the second period and denied 12 of the 13 shots he faced. The Kings have 38 points and lead San Jose by five for first place in the Pacific Division. LA begins a brief two-game road trip in Vancouver on Monday night.
