Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro cornerback Troy Vincent is expected to miss Saturday night's game against the Washington Redskins with a hip injury. Vincent missed last Sunday's overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers and was sidelined for a game earlier this season with a hamstring injury. The Wisconsin product suffered the hip injury during Philadelphia's 34-27 win over the Miami Dolphins on December 15. Vincent has recorded 57 tackles and three interceptions this season. If Vincent is unable to go on Saturday, Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown are expected to split time. The two have played plenty this season because of injuries to other starters in the defensive backfield. According to head coach Andy Reid, he expects Vincent to be available to start the playoffs if the Eagles do not get a first-round bye. Meanwhile, rookie tight end L.J. Smith could see some action versus the Redskins. Smith did not play against the 49ers because of an injured groin and back. He has 309 yards and one touchdown on 25 catches this season. Philadelphia needs a win at FedEx Field in order to wrap up its third straight NFC East title. The 11-4 Eagles have won the last four meetings with Washington, including a 27-25 victory on October 5.
