=== Atlanta Thrashers Team Report - December 29 === (My Sportsbook) - A night after having a three-game winning streak halted, the Atlanta Thrashers try to rebound when they invite the Montreal Canadiens to Philips Arena. The first-place Thrashers, who lead Tampa Bay by six points in the Southeast Division, were toppled, 5-2, in Ottawa on Sunday. Marian Hossa scored twice, and Daniel Alfredsson added a goal and an assist to lead the Senators. Atlanta received goals from Ronald Petrovicky and Patrik Stefan, but remained winless in its last six games at Ottawa (0-5-1). Pasi Nurminen turned aside just 19 of the 23 shots he faced for the Thrashers, who had won seven of their previous 10 matches. Atlanta does have its recent home success to fall back on tonight, as it has taken five of the last seven played at Philips. For the season the Thrashers are 12-7-2 on friendly ice. After tonight's contest, Bob Hartley's club will open a five-game road trip Wednesday in Detroit.
