Philadelphia 76ers wrap up a three-game road trip when they visit the slumping
Los Angeles Clippers tonight at the Staples Center.
The Sixers are 1-1 on the swing. On Saturday, Andre Iguodala scored 32 points to lead Philadelphia in an upset over the Phoenix Suns, 119-114, at US Airways Center.
Andre Miller poured in 25 points and handed out 12 assists for the Sixers, who have won three of their last four contests overall. Willie Green totaled 17 points, while Reggie Evans and Louis Williams ended with 13 points apiece. Evans also grabbed 13 rebounds for the Sixers, who snapped a five-game losing streak at Phoenix.
Philadelphia, which lost the opener of the trip on Friday at Golden State, is 11-19 on the road this season. The Sixers return home to host rookie phenom Kevin Durant and the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday at the Wachovia Center.
Los Angeles tries to put the brakes on a five-game losing streak tonight. Tayshaun Prince scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, as the Detroit Pistons got back on track with a 103-73 rout of the Clippers on Saturday at the Staples Center.
Corey Maggette scored 22 points for LA, which has dropped six of eight overall. Chris Kaman had 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Clippers, who play the middle contest of a three-game homestand on Monday night.
The Clippers are 11-20 at home this season. They will host Brad Miller and the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday at the Staples Center.
This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the squads. On February 9th, Williams scored 18 points off the bench to lead the Sixers past the Clippers, 101-80, at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia has lost four straight after winning its last two at the Clippers.
