=== Injury-plagued Sixers travel to Utah ===
Salt Lake City, UT (My Sportsbook) - The struggling Philadelphia 76ers continue their five-game road at Utah tonight when they face Matt Harpring and the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center.
Earlier this season, the Jazz defeated the Sixers, 94-86, on December 14th at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia, which is 0-2 on the road swing and has lost six of its last eight games overall, will once again play without All-Star guard Allen Iverson, who has missed seven straight games with a swollen right knee.
It was reported earlier that Iverson would possibly join the 76ers for their game at Houston on Wednesday, but that does not appear to be the case. The Philadelphia Daily News reported on Monday that the Georgetown product will not join the 76ers on the team's road trip because of a lack of strength in his bruised right knee. The Sixers are hopeful that Iverson can return to the court on January 5th at home against Milwaukee.
On Sunday, Philadelphia lost to the Phoenix Suns, 100-92, at America West Arena. Glenn Robinson paced the Sixers with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Eric Snow scored 17 points and Derrick Coleman netted 12.
Sixers guard Aaron McKie did not return after halftime with a hamstring injury. He had nine points in the loss for the 76ers, who made 43 percent of their shots.
Philadelphia, which has lost three straight on the road, is 6-9 as the visitor this season.
The Jazz return home tonight after falling to the Sacramento Kings, 98-89, on Sunday at ARCO Arena.
Andrei Kirilenko led the Jazz with 21 points, but scored just two in the fourth quarter after erupting for 13 in the third. Carlos Arroyo added 15 points and Kirilenko and Harpring pulled down 11 rebounds apiece for Utah, which had a two-game winning streak snapped.
Harpring scored just six points on 3-of-16 shooting, while Utah made just 41 percent of its shots in the loss.
Utah is an impressive 12-3 at home this season.
The Jazz have won four of five and six of the last eight contests with the 76ers, who have lost two in a row and 13 of their last 14 at Utah.
