The righthander was 1-0 with a 4.24 ERA in just 23 1/3 innings. The seven-year veteran owns a career mark of 25-28 with a 5.41 ERA. He broke into the majors in 1996 with Toronto and pitched for five seasons with Pittsburgh before joining the Reds.
