=== Detroit Pistons Team Report - January 6 === (My Sportsbook) - Richard Hamilton scored 15 points to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 78-68 win over the Boston Celtics at the FleetCenter. Tayshaun Prince and Elden Campbell each chipped in 13 points for the Pistons, who have won a season-high six straight games. Ben Wallace had 12 points and a game-high 16 rebounds for Detroit, which allowed its fewest points in a game this season. The Celtics trailed 65-57 early in the fourth, but used an 8-0 run, capped by Paul Pierce's jumper, to tie the game at 65-65 with just under eight minutes left. Detroit though, countered with an 11-0 spurt, culminated by Mehmet Okur's jumper, and the lead rose to 76-65 with 4:11 left. During the clinching run, Prince scored seven points. Pierce's free throw with 2:34 remaining ended a scoring drought of just over five minutes, but Boston never got within single-digits the rest of the game. Detroit extended its own single-season record by not allowing an opponent to score at least 100 points in a game for the 35th straight contest. Dating back to last season, the Pistons have kept their opponents under 100 points for an NBA record 37 consecutive games. The Pistons are off until Wednesday when they host Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets.
